After Chiang Mai, I decided to go to Pai together with another Dutch girl. Which meant: going with a bus on a road with 762 curves. Yes, 762. In a van with a sign with ‘don’t fart here’ in it (really random). I was really happy that I’m never sick in cars.
After my flight from Krabi, I arrived at my first destination in Northern Thailand: Chiang Mai. It was still pretty early when I arrived in my hostel that was, besides the man from the reception, completely empty.
After Koh Phi Phi, I decided to chill some days in Ao Nang before flying to Northern Thailand. I booked a hostel with a beautiful view which looked like a mini resort. With a pool! I did this because I ate something wrong in Koh Phi Phi, and I had lots of pain because of an injury on my shins. This resulted in me only being able to walk like a penguin. But I can’t complain about taking it slowly on a beautiful place with sun.
After Krabi it was time for my first island in Thailand: Koh Lanta! I wanted to visit a less touristic island and Koh Lanta seemed like the perfect choice.

To end the travel with my mom on a relaxed way, we decided to choose Phu Quoc Island as our last destination in Vietnam. The idea was to live in paradise for some days and get a tan here…
