#5 International Uniqueness: Rubén Segovia Cobo from Spain

We are all human beings, but we all look different. Every culture has his own beauty. I want to show this beauty by my photography project: International Uniqueness. In this project, I’m going to photograph people from different cultures. I do this during my erasmus study in Finland. The people who are going to be photographed, all have their own stories about their country. This project is going to be made in Oulu, Finland.

This time it’s Rubén Segovia Cobo, from Spain.

”Usually, people from other countries think typical Spanish is la macarena, Enrique Iglesias and bullfights, but there are a lot other things. For me, typical spanish is for example the big dinner on Sundays with the family at your grandmothers place or making life outside with the sun that warms your skin. Speaking loud is too. Because of studying abroad, I started to appreciate a lot of things from Spain were I never thought of before. The winters that look like summers, having conversations with random people that you just met on the street, good electronic parties, the afternoons with friends and tapas in a cute terrace. I don´t miss reggaeton, reggaeton is everywhere. One of the things I really miss from Valencia is playing music with friends. I really miss that and it is definitely one of the first things I will do when I come back. I am looking forward to make a show and share the stage with friends. For me Spain is so special because of the warm people, the concept of family and the feeling of happiness you can smell around.”
